On Tuesday 15th April 2008 Dr kamal Firoozabadi, Managing Director of Anzali free zone on his meeting with Mr. Askar Nikolaevich Kiev, international cooperation minister of Astrakhan province said; we are ready for transit of goods via Anzali free zone. Russia businessmen could transit their goods via Anzali free zone to Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Persian Gulf countries.

Mr firoozabadi said expanding cooperation with Caspian sea borderline countries is the main reason for developing of Bandar Anzali's installations and utilities and also construction of new jetty inside Anzali free zone.

Dr firoozabadi noted; in order to active this area and industrial section we should have more collaboration with businessmen of Caspian sea countries.

 Establishing direct flight and providing transportation facilities for businessmen could assist to promotion of trade and economy of this reign.

Dr Firoozabadi added; we are ready to hold an exhibition for astrakhan's products on the Anzali free zone and requested for the same exhibition in astrakhan.

He said; construction materials business is a good opportunity for their businessmen to provide construction materials from Iran and holding an exhibition for these products could bring businessmen to this area.
